Freight rates for select destinations decline

Freight rates for ten-tonne pay load section for select destinations declined by Rs 1,000 in the local truck transport market today following excess position of trucks.
Transporters said tight cargo movements against easy availability of trucks mainly pulled down freight rates for some destinations.
Delhi to Goa and Chennai freight rates fell by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 56,000 and Rs 67,000.
Rates to Jaipur and Chandigarh also eased by Rs 1,000 each at Rs 19,000 and Rs 20,000. Following are today's freights per 10-tonne load:
