The state government constituted a selection committee, comprising Justice R Regupathi, Chief Secretary to Government Sheila Balakrishnan and Central Electricity Authority, New Delhi Chairperson Neerja Mathur to select a new member.
As per the recommendation of the Committee, G Rajagopal was appointed as Member, TNERC, an official release here said.
State Electricity Minister 'Natham' R Viswanathan administered the oath of office and secrecy to Rajagopal at the Secretariat, here, today.
Energy department Principal Secretary, Rajesh Lakhoni, Tamil Nadu Electricity Board Chairman K Gnanadesikan and TNERC Secretary S Gunasekaran were present.
