Groundnut oil drops on poor demand

Groundnut oil prices dropped at the Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market here today due to stockists selling amidst poor retail demand.
While, refined palmolein and linseeds oil ruled stable in the absence of any worthwhile buying activity.
However, in the non-edible section, castorseed bold and castoroil commercial surged further on sustained demand from shippers and soap industries.
The castorseeds futures rates were unavailable today.
In the edible segment, Groundnut oil dipped by Rs 10 per 10kg to Rs 780 from Wednesday's closing level of Rs 790. Refined palmolein closed unchanged at Rs 565 per 10kg.
Moving to non-edible section, castorseeds bold climbed by Rs 50 per 100kg to Rs 4,115 from Rs 4,065 and castoroil commercial gained by Rs 10 per 10kg to Rs 853 as compared to Rs 843 yesterday. Linseeds closed unaltered at Rs 830 per 10kg.
