Gelatin sticks recovered from Guwahati station, 1 held

A huge quantity of explosives, including detonators and gelatin sticks, were seized from a person in Guwahati railway station today.
On a tip off, the GRP seized 220 detonators and 204 gelatin sticks from a person carrying the explosives in several bags from Shillong, GRP sources said.
The person, claiming to be a resident of Darjeeling, said he was carrying the explosives to hand over the material to a person here.
Investigations were on to ascertain if any militant outfit was involved or where the explosives were meant to be used, they added.
