The 49-year-old singer, who gave hit numbers like 'Faith' and 'Careless Whisper', battled potentially fatal pneumonia last year. He took to the micro-blogging site after fans expressed concern about his long absence from the Twitterverse, reported Contactmusic.
"Hey everyone. Belated Happy Xmas. Sorry you haven't heard from your favourite singing greek for so long... You needn't worry, I'm doing great. Feeling so much better than I was," he wrote on his Twitter handle.
Michael had earlier postponed his Australian tour scheduled for November this year to receive treatment for anxiety following his battle with pneumonia.
"...Looking forward to a great 2013, I promise it will be full of great new music," he wrote on Twitter assuring his fans of musical surprise in the coming year.
