Girl commits suicide after tiff with brother on watching TV

A 14-year-old girl allegedly committed suicide after an argument with her brother over watching television here, police said today.
While Prerna was watching a television serial at their Govindpura area residence, her younger brother Harsh (11) came and snatched the TV remote and started watching a cricket match.
This led to an argument between the siblings, after which the girl went into the bathroom and hanged herself from the ceiling with a scarf, they said.
The girl's mother was in the kitchen when the incident occurred.
As per family members, when the girl did not come out of the bathroom even after a long time, the mother, with help of some people, broke the bathroom door and found her hanging.

She took her to a hospital where doctors declared her brought dead.
A case has been registered and further investigations are on, police said.
