Girl injured during stone-pelting incident

A girl was injured today during clashes between student protesters and security forces in the Nawakadal area of the city, police said.
"Miscreants and some students of Government Higher Secondary School Nawakadal pelted stones upon security forces camp at Braripora Nawakadal in the jurisdiction of Police Station Safakadal," a police spokesman said.
He said during the stone pelting, one girl -- Khushboo Jan -- was hit by a stone on her forehead.
"The girl was shifted to the Shri Maharaja Hari Singh hospital for treatment. Her condition is presently stable," the spokesman added.
