GJM general secretary Roshan Giri said Gorkhas from over 22 states would take part in the conference where, among other issues, Gorkhaland would be discussed.

"We will discuss various problems the ethnic Gorkhas are facing across the country. The demand of Gorkhaland, a state signifying the identity of the Indian Gorkhas, would of course figure in the conference," he said.

To a question whether representatives from non-GJM parties like All India Gorkha League, Communist Party of Revolutionary Marxists, or CPI(M) would be invited at the conference, he said this is yet to be decided.

GJM president Bimal Gurung would preside over the conference.
