Gold bar found in flight from Bangkok

An unclaimed gold bar, valued at Rs 66 lakh, was found in a Bangkok-Kolkata aircraft at the N S C B International airport here this evening, an airport official said.
The gold bar, weighing 2.5 kg, was wrapped in socks and dumped in a waste-bin at the toilet of the Indigo Airlines flight which arrived from Bangkok, the official said.
The Customs has taken possession of the gold as unclaimed.
