Gold worth Rs 2 crore seized from air passenger

Customs officials today seized 9.50 kg of gold valued approximately at Rs 2.77 crore from a passenger, who arrived at the nearby Karipur International Airport by a Mumbai-Calicut flight.
The gold, in the form of ornaments, was found hidden in the baggage of the passenger, who hailed from Kudagu in Karnataka, airport sources said.
