"Shooting for 'Story of Lala' will commence from this July and a major part will be shot in Italy," Goutam told PTI.
"Sankhachil" won the National Award for Best Bengali film earlier this week and is slated for commercial release on April 14.
"Story of Lala", which was at the back of his mind for the last few years, could not commence earlier due to procedural hassles, he said.
Goutam did not, however, divulge the cast of the international project.
