Govt officers in ACB net in Nashik, Nandurbar

Anti-corruption bureau today claimed to have caught red-handed an assistant engineer with Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company at Virgaon in the district while accepting a bribe of Rs 5,000 for providing electricity connection for a farm water-pump.
The arrested officer, Yashpal Nirase, had sought the bribe when complainant applied for a new connection.
After receiving the complaint, ACB set a trap and arrested him while taking the money in his office.
In another case, ACB caught red-handed a government circle officer named Zakir Pathan at Taloda in Nandurbar district while accepting a bribe of Rs 3,000 for carrying out mutation entry in 7/12 extract.
