Acting on the complaint of Subhash, drawing teacher of Government Boys Senior Secondary School in Old Seemapuri, on December 1, a trap was laid and the accused principal Jitender Kumar was arrested while accepting the bribe, ACB chief Mukesh Meena said.
Subhash, in his complaint, alleged that initially, the accused principal had allegedly demanded 20 per cent share of his Advanced Career Promotion (ACP) scheme arrears amounting Rs 50-60 lakh. Later, he agreed to clear the dues after getting Rs 50,000.
Later, Subhash approached the ACB and lodged a complaint against the principal.
The accused principal was caught red-handed while accepting the bribe in the presence of independent Panch witness, the officer said, and added a case under relevant sections of Prevention of Corruption Act read and IPC has been registered at ACB police station and further investigation is on.
