'Green corridor' for heart transplant created; cops lauded

: A 'green corridor' to facilitate a heart transplant on a 47-year-old woman in a hospital here was created by the traffic police.

The donor was a 51-year-old woman patient.

The live heart was successfully transplanted, a press release said.

The green corridor, stretching to 8 km from Secunderabad to Nampally, was covered in 7 minutes, the release said.

The effort of the traffic police was appreciated by the doctors and the kin of the patient, it added.
