The Jammu and Kashmir Police on Thursday took into preventive custody seven persons from different areas of Rajouri for their involvement in unlawful activities including drugs peddling, police said.
Those arrested include Imtiyaz Ahmed, Amit Kumar, Raju Sharma, Nisar Ahmed Bhat, Waqar Ahmed,Vicky Sharma and Manawar Farooq, they said.
The action was taken following orders by the executive magistrate Rajouri under sections 107, 151, 110 of CrPC, they said.
All the seven have been lodged in district jail Dhangri, they added.
