Groundnut oil hardens on firm demand

Groundnut oil prices hardened at the Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market here today on firm demand from stockists and retailers amid higher festivity offtake as well as restricted arrivals from producing regions.
Elsewhere, refined palmolein also advanced owing to rising demand from retailers.
Among the non-edibles, castorseeds bold and castoroil commercial recovered following fresh demand from shippers and soap industries.
Linseeds oil maintained a stable trend in the absence of any buying activity.
In the edible segment, groundnut oil climbed Rs 10 per 10 kg to Rs 1,420 from Thursday's level of Rs 1,410 and refined palmoil rose by Rs 11 per 10 kg to Rs 595 as against Rs 584 yesterday.

Moving to non-edible section, castorseeds bold gained by Rs 15 per 100 kg to Rs 3,625 from Rs 3,610 and castoroil commercial moved up by Rs 3 per 10 kg to Rs 755 as compared to Rs 752.
Linseeds oil closed unchanged at Rs 1,150 per 10 kg.
