Himmat Singh Gujjar, state spokesperson of the Rajasthan Gujjar Aarakshan Sangharsh Samiti, said that prominent members from other communities of Gadia Luhar, Banjara and Raika- Rebari have been called to Jaipur to discuss the strategy for the Mahapanchayat.
"The BJP government in Rajasthan took no step to settle the long pending issue of five per cent reservation to Gujjar, Banjara, Gadia Luhar and Raika-Rebari communities despite their promise made during assembly elections so we are left with no option but to launch our agitation with out demands," Himmat told reporters.
"Our main demand is five per cent reservation and it is for the Government to see and decide that how the demand can be fulfilled," Mehraram Raika, a leader of Raika community said.
