Gur prices remain steady on subdued demand
Press Trust of India New Delhi The wholesale gur (Jaggery) market ended quiet in the national capital today following limited buying support amidst restricted arrivals.
Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets also settled displaying a steady trend in the absence of any worthwhile activity.
Marketmen said small buying support helped gur prices to end flat.
Following are today's rates (in Rs per quintal):
Gur chakku Rs 3,400-3,500, pedi Rs 3,450-3,550, dhayya Rs 3,600-3,700 and shakkar Rs 3,700-3,800.
Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 2,550-2,600, chakku Rs 2,900-3,025, khurpa Rs 2,925-2,950 and Ladoo Rs 3,000-3,050.
Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 3,025-3,125 and dhayya Rs 3,150-3,175.
