"These efforts are being introduced in line with the vision of creating a cashless society by Prime Minister Narendra Modi," a Raj Bhavan release said.
For enabling a smooth transition to a cashless society, Modi had appealed to the youth to educate 10 families daily on how to conduct cashless transactions through mobile apps, mobile banking, debit and credit cards, it said, adding, "The Governor has advised the student community to educate their family and neighbours for transforming India into a digital one."
He has instructed higher educational institutions and universities to draw up a detailed time-bound strategy involving all stakeholders and has asked for a detailed report in this regard, the statement said.
