The VDO Pradeep Kumar, who was posted in Samrer block of the district, had consumed poisonous substance on Friday night and he died at a hospital in Bareilly yesterday, they said.
The family members said a suicide note was recovered in which Pradeep had blamed his seniors for his extreme step.
Badaun ASP Maan Singh said that on the complaint of Pradeep's brother, a case has been lodged against the accused officials.
