A self-styled
Sub-Zonal Commander of an ultra left outfit "Trutiya Prastuti Committee" (TPC) was arrested during a special drive in Naxal-hit Palamau district today, police said.
The ultra, identified as Manu Ganju alias Manu Singh, was arrested by the police team when he came to his newly constructed house in Manatu, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Hiralal Ravi said.
Singh was a native of Bandhwar village under Kunda police station of adjoining Chatra district, he said adding he used to operate in Latehar and bordering areas of Palamau.
He was wanted in over half a dozen cases including the attack on Manatu police station in 2004, Ravi said.
Singh had joined the CPI (Maoists) in 2004 and switched over to TPC in 2008, the DSP added.
