SpiceJet on Tuesday said Harsha Vardhana Singh has resigned as independent director from the company.
His resignation is effective from October 1.
In a filing to the stock exchanges, the airline said Singh has quit as independent director as "he wishes to concentrate more on his personal life and retire from active corporate engagements".
Shares of the carrier on Tuesday declined over 2 per cent to close at Rs 117 on the BSE.
