Addressing the personnel of 84th batch at Police Training Centre at Sunaria in district Rohtak, he said the project would be operational directly from the police control room being set up in Panchkula.
"After the implementation of this Rs 400 crore project, the police on getting the information would reach the crime spot in any part of the state within 15 minutes," Khattar said.
The chief minister said under this project, 600 new police vehicles would patrol the state round the clock and provide immediate and prompt assistance at the place of incident.
Describing police as the face of the government, Khattar said their conduct with the public depicts the government's behaviour and working style, and exhorted the police personnel to discharge their duties honestly and efficiently.
He said it should be the aim of the police to get the accused punished so that people could live without fear.
Khattar said 6,000 to 8,000 police personnel would be recruited every year in the state to complete the backlog in the police department.
Director General of Police B S Sandhu said the process for recruitment of constables, women constables, sub- Inspectors and Deputy Superintendents of Police would be started in February.
Women police stations have been set up in each district of the state to provide a safe and secure atmosphere to women, he said.
