Haryana beefs up security along Rajasthan border

Haryana police has made tight security arrangements in districts adjoining Rajasthan to prevent smuggling of liquor and intrusion of anti-social elements in view of the April 10 Lok Sabha elections in the state.
The police would keep close vigil on illicit liquor and movement of cash and criminals in areas adjoining the border during elections and 'nakas' have been set up at border areas adjoining Rajasthan, an Election Department spokesman said today.
He said the nakas have been set up at various places in Bhiwani and Sirsa districts and thorough checking of vehicles, passengers and their luggage was being carried out.
He said Haryana police is in constant touch with their Rajasthan counterparts. Churu, Jhunjhunu and Rajgarh of Rajasthan fall in close proximity of Haryana.
Polling for all the 10 Lok Sabha seats in Haryana would be held on April 10.
