The test reports of Maggi noodles samples, which have been collected from all over Haryana and sent for laboratory testing, are expected by tomorrow, State's Health Minister Anil Vij said today.
He said the samples collected by Haryana Food and Drug Administration Department have been sent for laboratory tests to the State's own laboratory and also to PGIMER here.
"Future course of action in the matter will be decided once the test results are out. We are expecting results of the samples already given for tests to be out by tomorrow," Vij said.
The Health Minister said that the test-samples of Maggi noodles were collected from bus stands, general stores, hospitals and other places in each district of the state.
He said that till today samples collected from Palwal, Yamunanagar and Fatehabad districts have been sent for tests and samples collected from the remaining districts would also be speedily processed.
The samples of Maggi noodles in Haryana are being lifted for laboratory testing amid row over alleged lapses in its food safety standards.
Vij said that in many packets of Maggi samples the mention of quantity of Monosodium-Glutamate was "missing".
Besides this, he said that quantity of lead is being tested in Maggi.
"If the quantity of lead found is more than the prescribed limit, it is harmful. Along with this other standards are also being thoroughly investigated," he said.
