"The new Land Acquisition Act by the Centre is very tedious for acquisition, and so in line with some states, we may also bring some amendments," Haryana principal industry secretary Devender Singh told PTI on the sidelines of a CII roadshow organised by the state in the city.
He categorically pointed out that the purpose of the amendments was not to bring down compensation, but ease the process of acquisition.
Simultenously, the state is also finalising a policy for direct acquisition of land by the industry. The policy may encourage pooling of land if any industrial house wants direct acquisition.
The state will have another two roadshow in Mumbai and Hyderabad with an aim to attract Haryanvi people to invest in their state, getting connected to their roots and encourage them for philanthropy in the home state.
