"It was only due to progressive policies of the state government that the drop out rate of students has reduced to two per cent," Hooda said while speaking on the foundation laying ceremony of a Girls' School of Surajmal Memorial Educational Society in Dabauda village of Bahadurgarh, in the district.
Quality education is pivotal for ensuring a bright future to children, the Chief Minister said.
"Due to government's efforts in the last eight-and-a-half years, the number of universities in the state has increased to 36 and that of government colleges to 95.
Earlier, while welcoming former Union Minister Dr Balram Jakhar, Hooda said when Dr Jakhar was Union Agriculture Minister, various schemes had been started for the progress of farmers.
