"National Convenor is not an issue and has never been an issue. Who becomes a member of PAC and not is also not an issue. We have always believed that Arvind bhai (Kejriwal) should always lead the party.
"Prashant Bhushan and I have always maintained that and even we had rejected the resignation (tendered by Kejriwal in the last NE meet)," Yadav told PTI.
His comments assume significance as there are reports that he along with Prashant Bhushan will be dropped from the PAC. A decision on this is likely to be taken by the National Executive tomorrow.
When asked about the issue of personality cult in the party, Yadav said, "This is a dilemma in modern politics. You need to have faces. Personality plays an important role in electoral politics. At the same time, organisation should take care of this."
"Unfortunately these questions are reduced to personality clashes," he said.
Responding to a query on whether he would quit the PAC, Yadav said, he had was ready to do that to allow new blood in the party's top decision making body.
"Even I had offered to step down and all members should step down. Our PAC needs to be reconstituted with representation from gender, social background, and regional background to reflect the new talent the party has acquired now."
Terming the charges levelled against him that he along with Bhushan wanted the party to lose in Delhi assembly polls, as "not worthy of any serious response", Yadav said during the polls he was present doing forecast for the party and defending the organisation when worst allegations came up.
