Allahabad High Court today dismissed a writ petition seeking direction for a probe into allegations made by Arwind Kejriwal and Prashant Bhushan that there could be quid pro quo between DLF and Robert Vadra for favours to the company through Congress led governments.
The petition filed by a local activist Nutan Thakur was dismissed by the Lucknow bench of Chief Justice Shiva Kirti Singh and Justice Devendra Kumar Upadhyaya.
"We do not find any merit in the case and accordingly the petition has been dismissed," the bench said.
Thakur had prayed before the court to inquire into the allegations made against Congress president Sonia Gandhi's son-in law Robert Vadra.
In October last year, the civil society activists Kejriwal and Bhushan had alleged Vadra had bought property worth crores of rupees between 2007 and 2010 with an unsecured interest free loan of Rs 65 crore from given by realty major DLF.
They alleged that there could be quid pro quo between DLF and Vadra for favours to the company through Congress governments in Delhi, Haryana and Rajasthan.
