Narpat Singh (45) shot himself dead today, said Bhanwar Khan, Station House Officer of Rol police station.
Singh, who returned from duty midnight, was found dead by his neighbours who found his house bolted from inside this morning, Khan said, adding they broke open the door and informed the police after finding the body.
The constable's family lives in Sribalaji village of Nagaur district and he was living alone in the police lines area in Rol.
The reason of suicide is yet to be ascertained, Khan said, adding his body was cremated after post mortem examination in his village this afternoon.
