Heavy fog leads to rescheduling of 16 trains

With dense fog descending over Delhi, Northern Railway today said that over a dozen trains were rescheduled because of the late arrival of trains coming to the national capital.
Services were partially affected in the northern states as poor visibility led to the slowing down of train movement.
The delays led to rescheduling of 16 trains this evening which included the Howrah, Sealdah and Bhubaneswar Rajdhani express trains, a Northern Railway spokesperson said.
Railways had earlier announced cancellation of some trains like the previous years to efficiently tackle train movement during foggy weather conditions.
The latest position of the affected trains are also being updated regularly in the railway website, the spokesperson said.
