Himachal Pradesh were today lashed by sharp showers. The capital city received 19 mm rains in less than an hour.
The rain affected the voting for the Shimla Municipal Corporation polls as a large number of people remained indoors.
The MeT office has predicted rains or thunderstorm in the mid and lower hills and rains or snow in the higher reaches for the next six days.
Ghamroor gauged 14 mm of rainfall, Saloni 13 mm, Palampur 10 mm, Bhareri, Naina Devi and Bilaspur 6 mm and Renuka, Solan and Una 3 mm.
The timely rain will be good for the sowing of maize, paddy and other crops, farmers said.
