Sooraj is the son of Aditya Pancholi, known for playing negative roles, while Athiya is the daughter of actor Sunil Shetty.
Welcoming them on Twitter, Salman Khan, who is producing "Hero", wrote, "Now follow my heroes @soorajpancholi9 @THEATHIYASHETTY."
"Hero" is Salman and Subhash Ghai's joint production and is directed by Nikhil Advani. The film, which releases on September 11, is a remake of Ghai's 1983 movie of the same name.
The film's second look was also unveiled on the micro-blogging site.
"Thank You @BeingSalmanKhan sir @nickadvani sir and the team of @HeroTheFilm. I am about to live my dream," she tweeted.
Sooraj tweeted,"Thank You @BeingSalmanKhan sir for making this happen!!."
Sooraj and Athiya are stepping into the shoes of Jackie Shroff and Meenakshi Sheshadri respectively.
With the film, the "Kick" star is launching his own production house Salman Khan Productions.
