Hike in average student salary packages at IIT KGP's B-school

Placements at IIT-Kharagpur's B-school, Vinod Gupta School of Management, witnessed a double digit growth in average salary this year.
The average salary of the batch rose sharply by 14.18 per cent as compared to the previous year's average, an official said.
This year's average salary package was Rs 14.01 lakh per annum with the highest being Rs 21.17 lakh.
The batch of 2014-16, placements for which finished last week, had 102 students all of whom bagged jobs.
Prominent recruiters include Amazon, Google, Accenture Strategy, Tata Motors, Titan, Deloitte, PWC, IBM, Cognizant, Rolls Royce, McKinsey Solutions, Oracle, Wipro, ICICI Bank and Axis Bank.
Established in 1993, it is the first B-school in the IIT system.
"The placements are a mere reflection of the kind of talent and knowledge our students possess," said Prof Prabina Rajib, Chairperson, placement committee, of the management school.
