The seizure was made at border outpost Ghoga shortly after midnight, BSF DIG Punjab Frontier, R S Kataria said.
BSF personnel noticed an unattended iron pipe (propeller shaft) welded at both ends in a field ahead of border security fence near the outpost, he said.
On checking, six packets of contraband wrapped with yellow tape were found inside the pipe, Kataria said.
"The recent seizures, interdiction and apprehension of smugglers have given a setback to Indian and Pakistani smugglers and compelled them to conceive new modus operandi to hoodwink security agencies to clear the consignment of contraband," he said.
