Gagan Kumar and Jitender, hailing from Chamba and Arki area in Solan districts respectively, have reached India and will undergo further treatment at Indira Gandhi Medical College in Shimla, family sources said.
The youths were employed with a company in Saudi Arabia and had met with an accident. They were given treatment at a hospital for a few days but later the company refused to bear the expenses and did not even facilitate their return to India.
"Initially their employer had refused to bear their medical expense but after intervention of Sushma Swaraj, officials of the Indian embassy in Riyadh contacted the employer and convinced them to get them treated properly. Even the company facilitated their return to India," Gagan's family said.
