The 65-year-old 'Homeland' actor, who passed away on March 21, wrote a farewell note, titled 'His Life, According to Jim'.
Rebhorn was aware that the disease would take over his life, so he wrote an emotional and heartfelt goodbye to his loved ones. It was posted on the website for St Paul Lutheran Church in New Jersey, where the actor was a member.
Rebhorn thanked his parents for teaching him the value of good manners and hard work, his sister for always being there in crisis, his wife for loving him despite his many flaws and his children for their struggle to make the world a better place. The actor hoped that his children would be able to move on from his death soon.
The actor ended his letter by paying an ode to his career as a performer.
"Jim was fortunate enough to earn his living doing what he loved... He was a lucky man in every way," he wrote.
