Huge amount of money seized by IT officials: EC

Around 82 lakhs were seized by the IT officials and four persons were arrested, an EC official said today.
"Four persons, mainly hawala agents, were arrested and 82.81 lakh was seized from them," the official said.
Speaking about the number of complaints received, the official said that 185 had been received till now.
"We have taken action in 106 complaints out of 185 and action will be taken in 79 cases," he said.
The poll notification for the second phase of polls on April 24 for six Lok Sabha constituencies was issued during the day.
