Instrumental in effecting the turnaround of arthouse Bengali films, ace director Srijit Mukherjee says he finds the works of some young directors quite uplifting.
"Consider Soukarya (Ghosal). I found his debut work Pendulum a brilliant piece of work. I can leave other tasks to see such a film," Srijit told PTI here.
The trend-setter 'Autograph' maker, whose back-to-back 'Jaatiswar' and 'Mishawr Rawhosyo' were appreciated by audiences, said, "I usually run away on seeing the boom of channels at premiers.
"But here I am ready to talk. I wish the media spread our words about the film, all for the cause of this particular school of cinema," Srijit, who had presented independent film Bakita Byaktigato four months back said.
Bhooter Bhabisyot Director Anik Dutta said, "The frequent use of the word interesting has turned it in a stock phrase in case of even average films.
"Pendulum will make us rethink about using words in real sense," the Aschorjo Prodip maker said.
Actor Shuvasis Mukherjee, having played the pivotal role of an artiste binding the different stories said "Pendulum is the first ever such attempt in Bengalee cinema which seeks to reconstruct-de-construct an actual event in the space of time," the national award winner Herbert actor said.
Pendulum-A Tale of Time, Produced by Cozum Analytics Ltd, was released on March 7.
