Kalki has finally been nominated at the Times of India Film Awards 2016 in the best actress critic's choice category for her performance in last year's "Margarita with a Straw" and the 32-year-old said she found the nomination surprising.
"I never expected a nomination as I rarely get nominated. So yes, being nominated for TOIFA 2016 is a great surprise," she said in a statement.
In director Shonali Bose's coming-of-age drama, Kalki played a girl with cerebral palsy.
TOIFA 2016 will take place at the Dubai International Stadium in Dubai Sports City, Dubai on March 18.
