"IFFI needs little less bureaucracy... Artwork is so sub-standard that you feel you have come for a government conference and not a film festival. First they should stop their bureaucracy and 'babugiri'. They need a complete overhaul," Kashyap told reporters on the sidelines of NFDC's Film Bazaar.
The 42-year-old 'Gangs Of Wasseypur' helmer, who attends many international film festivals to promote his productions and directorial ventures, said IFFI lacks buyers and distributors.
"I don't attend IFFI because of the bureaucracy. A festival needs to generate respect from people across the world. The buyers and distributors don't feel that they can discover any new film at IFFI," he said.
