The incident took place yesterday when a person open fired during the wedding ceremony, SP (Rural) Alok Priyadarshi said.
The deceased girl has been identified as Anjali, while the injured boy Armit (11) was shifted to a nearby hospital in a serious condition.
Police has registered a case against the accused, who is absconding after the incident.
