The event launch ceremony was held here today at the press club in the presence of Mayor V K C Mommad Koya.
The Mayor who launched the official Calicut Marathon Website for 2016.
The theme for this year's marathon is "Compassionate Kozhikode" and it features two categories, a 10 km mini marathon which is a competitive race and a three km "Dream Run" a non-competitive run featuring people from different walks of life.
