Commerce Secretary Rita Teaotia held bilateral meeting with Vice Minister Gao Yan, her counterpart in the Ministry of Commerce, to discuss the range of bilateral trade and economic issues of mutual interest during her four day visit, Indian Embassy press release here said.
"They exchanged views on implementation of the high-level outcomes from Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to China in May 2015 and preparations for the next Joint Economic Group meeting," it said.
Earlier, she visited Xi'an where she attended the 14th Economic and Trade Ministers Meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation, (SCO).
Eighteen SCO member states, observers and dialogue partners participated in the meeting.
India, an observer member of the SCO, has been elevated as a regular member which will come into effect from the next summit of the SCO.
India and China had signed 24 agreements worth over USD 10 billion during Modi's two-day visit to China in May this year.
