Panda's grandson Babuli was found yesterday in an unconscious state on a roadside here after which he was admitted to a private hospital. He was later shifted to SCB Medical College Hospital in Cuttack, they said.
"The Model Control Room in Mancheswar received a call after which he was rescued in a critical condition and admitted to hospital. We are investigating under what circumstances he went missing," Police Commissioner YB Khurania said.
Babuli had come at Raj Bhavan here along with his parents for the felicitation of freedom fighters' families by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on April 16.
His mother was located at Balasore railway station but there was no trace of 19-year-old Babuli after which a search operation was launched following the directive of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
