Hussani Rasool was refused asylum in 2003. However, today he tried to enter the country at Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) here on the basis of a Swedish passport, official sources said.
The immigration officials did not allow him to enter as he was on a list of banned persons, they said.
Rasool, who had come to India via an European country, was deported back, the sources said.
