Referring to Talwandi Sabo thermal power plant, party's state unit president Pratap Singh Bajwa said that "the project was delayed due to bureaucratic wrangling and high power tariffs".
He claimed that the promoters of thermal plant were involved in legal complications with Punjab State Power Corporation (PSPCL) and state government has failed to bring the two companies at negotiation table.
Bajwa said that about 80 per cent hike in power rates in the past six years has forced people to shell out major part of their earning on electric bills and industrial units are fleeing from Punjab.
