The woman, in a letter written to Senior Superintendent of Police RPS Yadav, claimed that she was gangraped by three police personnel on August 6, Additional Superintendent of Police (Rural) Jagdish Sharma said.
The woman stated in the letter that her husband was booked in a "false" case and sent to jail on August 1, and when she approached the inspector, he assured help, Sharma said.
On August 6, a police personnel came to the victim women's house and took her to police station claiming the inspector has called her, Sharma said quoting the letter.
They also threatened her that if she told anyone about the incident, then more criminal cases would be lodged against her husband, he said.
The SSP has handed over the investigation of the complaint to the Area Incharge Deoband, the ASP added.
No FIR has been registered in the matter so far.
