Inspector protests transfer by shaving half his head

A circle inspector today created a stir in the city by staging a novel protest against his transfer.
Subba Rao, who was recently transferred to special branch-II of police, staged a protest at Ambedkar junction with his head and moustache half-shaved.
He alleged that the department was not doing justice to the employees from the backward classes.
SC, ST Police Officers's Welfare Association's president Vishnumurthy visited and expressed support for him.
Later, Hanamkonda DSP Dakshinamurthy reached the spot and persuaded Rao to go to his office.
