Union Home Secretary Anil Goswami today lauded the investigation by Bihar into the serial blasts here two days ago in which six persons were killed and 82 others injured, saying that it was heading in the right direction.
Goswami also promised assistance to the state government to ensure law and order and security.
Pointing out that arrests were made on the day of the blasts, Goswami who is here with NIA DG Sharad Kumar and another home ministry official, said "The investigation is heading in the right direction and perpetrators and conspirators will be caught soon.
"We are hopeful that the results will be out soon," he told reporters after reviewing the situation with senior state officials.
"The Centre will provide all possible help to the state government to ensure law and order and security in Bihar," he said.
"We have discussed with the Chief Secretary and civil and police officials about issues arising out of the serials blasts and overall law and order situation and security in Bihar," he said.
Denying that there was lack of coordination between the state government and the Centre, he said that an NIA team from Delhi was dispatched within two hours after the blasts and joined the investigation by the state police soon after.
